張彌曼，女，1936年4月生，漢族，浙江嵊縣人。1960年畢業(yè)于蘇聯(lián)莫斯科大學(xué)地質(zhì)系。1982年獲瑞典斯德哥爾摩大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。1960年至今在中國科學(xué)院古脊椎動(dòng)物與古人類研究所工作。1991年當(dāng)選為中國科學(xué)院地學(xué)部院士?，F(xiàn)為中國科學(xué)院古脊椎動(dòng)物與古人類研究所研究員，從2001年9月起被聘為北京大學(xué)地球與空間科學(xué)學(xué)院教授。
張彌曼主要從事比較形態(tài)學(xué)、古魚類學(xué)、中－新生代地層、古地理學(xué)及生物進(jìn)化論的研究。曾發(fā)表《渤海沿岸地區(qū)第三紀(jì)魚化石》、《浙江中生代晚期魚化石》、“The Braincase of Youngolepis, a Lower Devonian Crossopterygian from Yunnan, southwestern China”等著作及編撰“Early Vertebrates and Related Problems of Evolutionary Biology”, 《熱河生物群》（中、英文）等書，以及：
1976 松遼盆地似狼鰭魚屬的發(fā)現(xiàn)及骨舌魚目的起源 － 東北白堊紀(jì)魚化石之一。古脊椎動(dòng)物與古人類，14：146－153。
